Most jams on the market hide behind sugar, syrups, and artificial flavors to make up for what real fruit lacks once it’s processed. Podopure goes the opposite direction only using only fruit, letting the naturally sweet, juicy flavor stand on its own.

The Recipe

  • 1 cup butter (softened)

  • 1 ½ cups sugar

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1–2 tsp vanilla (optional but wonderful)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.

  2. Cream the butter and sugar until light and soft.

  3. Add vanilla and mix to combine.

  4. Gradually add flour until a dough forms.

  5. Roll into balls and press a little well into the center of each.

  6. Spoon a small amount of Podopure Jam into each well.

  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, until the edges begin to turn golden.

  8. Let them cool completely — that’s the secret to perfect crispness.

    Recipe Notes

    If your jam feels a little too thin:
    Pod Pure is made from pure fruit, which means consistency can vary by batch or flavor. If your jam is too watery, mix in a cornstarch and jam in a separate bowl. This helps it thicken just enough without muting the fruit flavor.

    If your dough is cracking or feels too crumbly:
    Shortbread dough should be soft enough to shape, but dry enough to crisp beautifully. If it’s not rolling into a smooth ball, add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until it comes together. You’ll know it’s ready when you can roll it cleanly without cracks.
